Circle Singing - Sunday 9AM Pavilion
Calling all singers!
Come join this participatory workshop in improvisational singing. We will explore musical expressions using the voice and body as our medium. Madi (the choir director on the playa) has worked with improvisational giants such as Rhiannon and MMW and has been practicing spontaneous musical creations with her vocal ensembles. All levels of singers are welcome. Bring your voice, be ready to shed your fears and come create unique vocal sounds with us!
Kathleen has been singing and playing music most of her life. Her unwavering musical dedication has brought her across the country to study with admired teachers and create experiences that bring many people together to make music. She has performed with many great musicians, including Phil Mattson, Fareed Haque, Michael Franti, Bono, Stanley Jordan, Rhiannon, SF Choral Artists, Clockwork, and San Francisco’s famous Glide Ensemble. She is currently finishing her doctorate at the University of Miami Frost School of Music and hopes to find a resonant and vibrant community where she can put down roots and share her passion for music, life, community and nature.
