The Spirit of Acupuncture Through Movement - Saturday 3pm Sanctuary

Learn how to ignite and empower the eight acupuncture points that form the roots of Chinese medicine through yogic movements and specialized Qi Gong visualizations.  A course on yin yang, the eight extraordinary channels, and five element theory using the yoga sequence known as the moon salutation.

Daniel began his work study in Oriental Medicine in 1997 studying whole foods, Iyengar yoga and massage at the Heartwood Institute in Northern California and later at two private Acupuncture and Chinese herbal practices in Philadelphia. He enrolled at the TAI Sophia Institute for the Healing Arts in 2001 and graduated with a Masters Degree in Acupuncture in 2004. In 2005 he went to China for travel and study, and in June of 2006 he joined a new team of practicing acupuncturists at sea. Over the next 5 years on some of the largest floating cities he treated people in the ports and seas of nearly every continent. He honed his skills with an ever-changing international patient base that demanded results with only days not months to deliver them. He gave regular lectures on Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine, and performed thousands of consultations and treatments. “Acupuncture at sea” has become a major force for the promotion of acupuncture world-wide, something he is very proud to have been a part of and hopes to continue for many years to come, promoting and practicing acupuncture, here “on land.”
